I had an older cousin who would give me stacks of comics he didn't want anymore and since he wasn't into World's Finest that's one that I don't really know much about other than it was a team-up book with Superman and Batman. He did however give me stacks and and stacks of late 60's and 70's Superman and Action and Batman and Detective Comics so that likely explains why I don't associate Swan with Batman. Most of the Swan stuff I saw was either stuff he did on Superman or some of his Legion of Superheroes reprints. I didn't mean to imply that Swan couldn't draw Batman, he could obviously draw anything and draw it well, just that I don't associate him with Batman and you don't see him on a lot of favorite Batman artist lists which tend to be populated by the guys I typically associate with Batman like Aparo, Neal Adams, Sprang, Marshall Rogers, etc. And while World's Finest was a Batman book it's also another association of Curt Swan with Superman as well which is another reason why he's mostly associated with Superman.

Did a Google search for "favorite Batman artists" and at the top of the search results were pics and names of folks favorite Batman artists. The first five or six results were mostly the usual suspects like Neal Adams and Bob Kane and Marshall Rogers and after that it got stranger and stranger. Several writers like Grant Morrison and Ed Brubaker who never drew a Batman comic. And Ben Affleck?? JB was on the list about halfway through (which I'd agree with as I love his Batman). But not on the list anywhere: Jim Aparo. Say what?
