My guess is that it's "all of the above" in terms of what people have mentioned, especially Amanda Waller. She had a huge presence in Suicide Squad.

Maybe it's just for being a nice guy and DC was feeling generous...?
Okay, snark off.

I'm sure it's for the short, brunette, Latina Maggie Sawyer on SUPERGIRL. But, yeah, Amanda Waller is EVERYWHERE! (I think she's been played by FIVE different actresses so far!)

JB: Of course, I might find out it's for SUPERMAN vs BATMAN and/or SUICIDE SQUAD, and then I'd have to go bathe in turpentine.

You could always do what Alan Moore does and just give all that movie "blood money" to the artist. Heh heh.

There's so much of JB's influence in all of the DC media that it's probably in their best interest not to itemize!

Today, under separate cover, DC sent an itemization. The greatest portion -- well over 90% -- came from SvB.

Wow, I'd have thought SUICIDE SQUAD and SUPERGIRL hands down.

I am mystified as to the formula with which it is decided who gets what, and how much.

I'm sure it keeps the accountants at Warner very busy.

Bumping this because today Jim Starlin claimed that he got more money for KGBeast being in BvS than for all of his Marvel characters combined:

Is that normally the case JB, is DC way better about movie royalties?

Is that normally the case JB, is DC way better about movie royalties? •• Hard to say. A few years back Marvel made a very large payment to me, larger than this DC payment, but it was a sort of "down payment" on use of characters and stories I had created for them. A sizable chunk of it was for DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Over time, I expect the two would average out about the same.
