Saturday, January 14th

  • Seahawks (3rd seed) at Falcons (2nd seed) - Just too much offense.  Seattle is a post-season mainstay by now, that might keep it close.
  • Texans (4th seed) at Patriots (1st seed) - Just too good.  Plus it's January

Sunday, January 15th

  • Steelers (3rd seed) at Chiefs (2nd seed) - Steelers beat them earlier, but this is a road game and Pittsburgh isn't quite the same on the road.
  • Packers (4th seed) at Cowboys (1st seed) - Classic matchup.  Going with experience.

I agree with Kevin. The home teams except Dallas.

And go Texans! Pull off the miracle!

  • Texans (4th seed) at Patriots (1st seed)

Sunday, January 15th

Saturday, January 14th

  • Seahawks (3rd seed) at Falcons (2nd seed) Seahawks are in a good groove, it seems.
  • Texans (4th seed) at Patriots (1st seed)

Sunday, January 15th

  • Steelers (3rd seed) at Chiefs (2nd seed)
  • Packers (4th seed) at Cowboys (1st seed) Should be an epic game. Dak will take the Boys to the Super Bowl one day, but not in his rookie season (and if he does, then statues should be built in his honor).

Saturday, January 14th

  • Seahawks (3rd seed) at Falcons (2nd seed)
  • Texans (4th seed) at Patriots (1st seed) - It would surprise me if the Texans beat Brady & Co...

Sunday, January 15th

  • Steelers (3rd seed) at Chiefs (2nd seed) - Hoping for another win against The Chefs this season...
  • Packers (4th seed) at Cowboys (1st seed) - Prescott & Co should be able to win this game...

Tricky week.  I was willing to ride the Pack's win streak @ home last weekend but going to Dallas is another matter.  Until last week, the Seahawks' last win over an above .500 opponent was their squeaker over New England 2 full months ago.  But Atlanta is worse at home than on the road.  The Steelers have the longest win streak in football right now and Bell has been an absolute monster but 4 points separate KC from an undefeated home season.  The only team I'm confident in is New England.

Saturday, January 14th

  • Seahawks (3rd seed) at Falcons (2nd seed)
  • Texans (4th seed) at Patriots (1st seed)

Sunday, January 15th

  • Steelers (3rd seed) at Chiefs (2nd seed) Chiefs good and lucky but Steelers currently better and making their own luck.
  • Packers (4th seed) at Cowboys (1st seed)

  • Seahawks (3rd seed) at Falcons (2nd seed) :
very interesting and classic D/O matchup. Seattle showed a lot in the WC round...but at home. Can they sustain a shootout ? I don't think so, many Best O have lost against this year's good offense (see Giants, Ravens, Texans, Broncos...)

  • Texans (4th seed) at Patriots (1st seed) : come on...
  • Steelers (3rd seed) at Chiefs (2nd seed) : Big Ben seems weakened...all will be on LeVeon shoulders...I take the all-around Chiefs

  • Packers (4th seed) at Cowboys (1st seed) : previous game was GB low point...a must-see of course as Dallas'D should provide Aaron a lot of miracles. Going for the rested home team and Rodgers still wait for his second SB berth

Jordy Nelson has fractured ribs.  Odds are he's out of the game on Sunday.  (what a shame......)

Saturday, January 14th

  • Seahawks (3rd seed) at Falcons (2nd seed) - Falcons offense is outstanding and their defense has gotten better throughout the season.
  • Texans (4th seed) at Patriots (1st seed) - Blowout.

Sunday, January 15th

  • Steelers (3rd seed) at Chiefs (2nd seed) - Close game.  Two things in the Chiefs favor:  Reid's record off a bye and Arrowhead.
  • Packers (4th seed) at Cowboys (1st seed) - Could both teams lose?  No love for either, but with Nelson out and the Packers on the road, I think the 'boys finally get over the hump.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

I want anyone but New England vs. Cowboys or Falcons. Because I'm sick of the Seahawks and Packers.

But...if the Patriots go and the Cowboys don't, I'd be tempted to cheer for the Patriots (while trying not to puke), AND for Brady to get MVP (while actually vomiting), just to see the look on Goodell's face when he has to present them with the trophies.

Falcons - Steelers would be fun to watch.  But I am honor-bound not to root for the Steelers.

Cowboys - Patriots would be like watching President Obama giving Death a medal for 2016.

I vote Chiefs - Packers.  REMATCH.

There are some teams that I really enjoy seeing them get their butts whipped. Seattle is one of those teams.

Ryan continues to play like an MVP and Atlanta's offense was way too much for the Seahawks (they could have easily scored in the last minute but instead took a knee on the 3 yd line.)  They will be tough to slow down next week.

Despite an off night by Brady and too many turnovers, NE still generated 34 points and Brady was sharp enough to deliver a couple long plays and stymie the Texans' #1 defense.   The next game will feature a tougher offense whoever they get, but that's an unprecedented six straight trips to the AFC championship game for the Pats.   The Brady era has been breathtaking (their worst season since 2003 is 10-6) and they've won 4 Super Bowls during his dynastic run but they've only been able to win one Super Bowl in their previous 5 straight AFC championship game appearances.  You know Brady wants that 5th to separate himself from guys like Bradshaw and Montana.

Finally a great postseason game.  I was rooting for the Cowboys because I hate the Packers more, but still.  Awesome down-to-the-wire contest.
