I was having the "Who's hotter, Leia/Fisher or Padme/Portman" debate with a young friend, just this afternoon.

Having been raised with the prequels, his choice was Padme/Portman. My choice could only be Leia/Fisher. Gorgeous and sassy.

I'll admit I find/found neither "hot," but Leia had spunk on her side, always an advantage.

About halfway through THE PRINCESS DIARIST. Man, I knew this was gonna be a tough read, under the circumstances, but the actual content of the book makes it particularly heartbreaking.

It's painfully clear that Fisher was madly infatuated with Ford during their brief fling, and that she probably never quite recovered from it. And she tries to make light of its beginning--Ford essentially rescuing her from a group of crewmen possibly planning to rape her after getting her drunk at a mid-shoot birthday party for Lucas--but her dryly humorous recounting of the events makes it that much more shocking and sad.

The book is a sobering look back at a very vulnerable young woman on the cusp of unexpected stardom...and a painfully self-destructive lifestyle.

Watched it over the weekend... interesting look inside the life of Debbie and Carrie. You truly feel their love upon viewing. Touching tribute.
