A celebrity I've had a connection to since I was 4 years old. This is crushing. So hard to believe. RIP. You will be missed.

Just bought her new book THE PRINCESS DIARIST, last week. It goes to the top of my reading list, in honor of her.

My childhood is being ravaged. Starting with Leonard Nimoy last year and the staggering amount of deaths this year. It's been a hard two years for me. There are a few more days left. Who else is 2016 going to cross off the list?

Awful, awful news... I kept it together after Leonard Nimoy's death, and Robin Williams' depressed me for weeks, but this one truly made me weep.
Got the news right before heading out the door for some errands, and immediately turned around and grabbed my STAR WARS soundtrack and played John Williams' "Princess Leia Theme" in her honor:
STAR WARS: Princess Leia Theme
Tears streaming down my face for the entire car ride. RIP, to an actress whose voice & humor will be sorely, sorely missed.

(We'll remember these two for the rest of our lives.)

Sad news although not a surprise. My mom's an ER nurse and when the topic came up on Xmas Eve she said, with the matter-of-factness of someone who sees this daily, that Fisher had no chance of recovery based on what has been reported. So I've been expecting this for days ...
And I'm still surprised at how much of a gut-punch this was. Leia was one of my favorite parts of STAR WARS and I've enjoyed Fisher here and there in other roles, but I largely took her for granted; I never thought of her enough to consider myself a "fan". Yet her death has hit me harder than other celebrities that I ostensibly liked more.
RIP Princess.

She was a great actress, writer and the most beautiful woman in the galaxy. There are no real words to describe how bad a loss like this hurts. RIP Carrie, May The Force Be With You.
