Once again, Trump is attempting to alter reality with a tweet. The Tweeter-in-Chief remains an embarrassment to America...  lashing out at McConnell, Ryan, Clapper, media...  It really seems like he is daring them (GOP leadership) to do something and they are "cowering in a corner".

This has been so bizarre to watch over the months. The use of social media to try and embarrass his own party members into action, just so unconventional..

Trump would be more suited as president of TMZ than the USA.

It's a shame the following can't happen: US funds build the wall, but ONLY Trump voters pay for it, maybe even via a tax increase. Everyone who didn't vote for Trump gets to be exempted from any funding towards the wall.

I wish it could happen.

Robbie, your plan reminds me of something I said years ago, that the income tax form should have some kind of pie chart on it, on which we could indicate where and how much for we paid, dividing up the total we owed.

I'd certainly welcome such a thing over here!

Trump pardons Sheriff Joe Arpaio. One racist helps another.  Shocker.

How cowardly to do it on a night when much of the nation is concerned about a hurricane hitting Texas. Their attention is turned elsewhere.  Tell me THAT'S not calculated.

Politics in a Jugular Vein.

Trump's problem - well, one of 'em - is that he seems to think that the American public can only focus on one issue at a time. He is a terrible magician who brings up something - "false" news, fake equivalents, complaints about his treatment - with the belief that the real issues will go overlooked.

Of course, there are a lot of Americans who can keep TWO ideas in their heads at any given time. And those who are on Trump's trail won't be distracted until they're actually removed (Mr. Mueller, and Mr. Comey during his own time).

The jerk is a coward, bully, cad, and thief. He pulls childish tantrums and infantile behavior, believing that we will fall for it. He may be right... he DID get elected. But thank heavens, it seems that his protective guard of sycophants seems to be deteriorating. I cannot wait to celebrate his departure.

Well, Matt, I guess now I can say it: he's a piece of shit. I don't like insulting people. But he is.

I hope Eric is right about his departure. I don't care that he may spin it positively if he quits. I hope he does. Let him have his delusions. I can live with that - once he quits. And his remaining sycophants can go and buy whatever book he writes when he decides to pen memoirs about how unfairly he's been treated.

I loathe him.

Trump's pardon of Arpaio shows gross contempt for the rule of law.

Regardless, continued silence and support by GOP leaders.

Deplorable.

And the GOP is relying on Gerrymandering and increasingly unreasonable (and unnecessary) voter ID laws in order to stay in power, so whatever injustices (perceived or otherwise) experienced by Hispanics (the fastest-growing demographic in the nation) don't matter - as long as the Republicans keep dicking with the electoral process, things will remain as they have always been.

This...is not going to work out for the GOP.

Why do you say that? It's worked out pretty well so far.

Because eventually, short of automatically disqualifying everyone with a Hispanic-sounding last name from voting, that ever-growing demographic will eventually (and sooner rather than later) form a massive voting bloc, rendering whatever underhanded shenanigans the GOP are counting on to remain in power, moot.
