Trump may have achieved his aims.

There’s a fair bit of reporting that undecideds were turned off by the
whole show. Will they vote? Or will they think to hell with the lot of you -
which might give Trump the victory.

His wild strategies work because no one sees them coming & are
caught wrong footed time & time again.

This could be one of those

At this point, voters that consider themselves undecided are either :

- Liars

- Stupid

- Afraid to admit that they are Trump supporters

Undecideds are trying to determine what's more problematic for them:  Trump's persona or Biden's policies.  That's what it comes down to.

As if Trump’s “policies” have been beneficial to anyone who isn’t so wealthy they (THINK) are immune to the world’s ills?

People who support the orange man-baby, and the orange man-baby, himself, keep bring up that he's done great things for this country.

Like what? Perpetuating the `Ugly American' stereotype, because he is the very definition of one?

Practially admitting to crimes, but his base would rather believe bad things about Biden than are not true than bad things about him that are mostly proven?

Thinking and stating that he can pretty much do whatever he wants, including pardoning himself if he's ever indicted for crimes? (Which he actually cannot do.)

He's the worst President we've ever had, leaping over Buchanan, Harding (who was more do nothing that outright bad), and others.

What do you think (Biden) should have said?

Rodrigo: "Nothing. It was a perfect response, totally beyond the capabilities of
a six year old. Also, he had no strokes!! Leader strong!"

*****

I asked you this as a serious question because I was politely trying to figure
out what your criticism of Biden is in this case. You haven't offered any
specifics - you're just saying he was awful, the media said he's awful, and he
shouldn't have said that. There's no content to your criticism, unless you just
don't like him as a person.

So I would like to ask you again - what should Biden have said, or in general
how should have he approached the debate? Trump did something the
moderator and his own party didn't expect, not because we shouldn't be
surprised by Trump's antics, but because interrupting Biden constantly and
mocking his son's drug addiction was a strategically dumb way to attract swing
voters.

Rodrigo: "It's Hillary all over again. Of course she was "better" (meaning she
said things that made sense and was much less of a terrible human being)
than Trump on the debates (and much, much better than Biden).

But still, Trump successfully framed the campaign to the territory he was more
comfortable in, a lot of people saw it that way, and he won.

Same trap, and the Democrats seem to fall for it every time."

****

May I ask how you get your news? I recognize you don't support Trump, but all
of your other points are textbook Republican responses used when they are
caught being horrible - they say "both sides" are corrupt, and they still
manage trash the other side. And be sure to bring up Hilary!

So to get news about the United States, what sources are you reading? You
say they all thought Biden was horrible, but you've only cited a meme, which
you called a "slam dunk" for Trump.

Suffice it say, only hard core Trump supporters on Facebook think that was a
"slam dunk" and see Trump as winning the debate. Even Trump's beloved "Fox
and Friends" were helpfully coaching him on how to improve his debate skills.
I'm wondering if you read conservative United States media, what international
media is reporting it this way, or do you get your news through memes?

Why all my "pearl clutching" about Biden?  Not the most PC insult to hurl at a gay man by the way - just sayin'.

Anyways - because unlike Trump's supporters, I am NOT a sycophantic, cultist, zombie supporter of Biden.

Well, Marc, you're also not offering any specifics similar to Rodrigo. What
should Biden have said, or in general how should he have approached the
debate?

Obviously, he should’ve just stood there and said nothing, Tim.

The betting odds in Vegas plummeted overnight after the debate from 55:45 for Biden to 60:40.  For the first time since the computer model at five thirty eight.com started 90 days before Election Day, today Trump’s odds of winning declined below 20% for the first time.  Trump is running out of runway to change the polls and advance voting has begun.

Trump advisor, Hope Hicks, has Covid-19.  She travelled with him to the debate on the same plane, no masks were worn at any time.
