And hey, the healthcare plan the Republicans are working furiously on to get rid of Obamacare contains exemptions for members of Congress and their staff. That means that all the good stuff that they are cutting from the general public, THEY get to keep.

Oh, and he's going to solve the Middle East. Apparently it's easier than people think.
Yup.

"He had every chance to save this boy."
The woman and her child should indeed be allowed to stay in the U.S. But without police protection, she would probably be in danger anywhere, given the international reach of Honduran gangs.

Here are estimates of premium surcharges that the Republicans want to enact with their latest attack on the ACA:
Among the more absurd, not discounting that ALL OF THIS is absurd, is categorizing pregnancy as a "preexisting condition" such that if you simply get pregnant and take it to completion with "no or minor complications" you are rewarded with a 425% surcharge that works out to, on average, $17,320 more per year.
And the "leadership" who has proposed this has the audacity to say that it's not gender discrimination. Last time I checked, only women can give birth. Kinda like saying that Andrew Jackson was opposed to the Civil War, confused in a way only a certain type of person can be when pondering why that conflict ever happened in the first place.

I am still confused about the US medical system. If I get cancer and don't have insurance, I just die? Who has that kind of money saved? Or can you borrow to pay for the bill?

The problem with the insurance industry is that it's pretty much the only business that can only be profitable by NOT serving its paying customers.

Not like they haven't been already. But this is a clear violation of that wall. Apparently Trump only believes in walls when they suit him.
Where the hell do we go from here?

I'm confused. It appears that in America, amendments can be altered/repealed or made null through another amendment.
Is this correct?
If so, what's so special about the second amendment that means this does not apply to it?
