Our President actually wrote:
"She is a great person -- always pushing me to do the right thing!" |
|
|
This is worded poorly (no shock, there) - as if it's a chore to do the right thing, and he only does it to keep the approval of his daughter.

It's a wonder the brilliant Ivanka can't fight her own battles.
Doesn't say much for her reputation as a "brilliant businesswoman"...when 'daddy' is spouting off on her behalf.

Nope. He is still the useful idiot who will sign whatever you put in front of him. And since he doesn't read or can't understand what's in front of him, he is painfully valuable to the likes of Steve Bannon and his Nazi Lite Brigade.
How else did Trump sign Bannon on to the National Security Council.....without realizing he did!?
"President Bannon" is one crafty NSOB (Nazisonnavabitch)

Kellyanne Conway turned an interview into a free commercial for Ivanka's clothing line today.

There's a story out today of California farmers who were Trump supporters are now freaking out because they may lose up to 70% of their workforce. What the fuck did they think was going to happen?
That's about like the people in my area that support him for getting rid of Obamacare when these are the very people that benefited from it.
Team, this country is setting very real precedent (no, not president) on just how stupid a nation's population can be.

It all stems from a lack of proper education. For a long time, I've felt that if you truly believe in your RIGHT TO VOTE, it's your responsibility to have proper knowledge of WHO your voting for and what the real issues are and how they will effect ALL of the country*... not just what you hear on TV... do your research, read books, etc.
* 'Course I know I'm asking for too much! Every time I think UNITED States I chuckle to myself.

This is something more vexatious (and puzzling) than simply voters being uninformed, though. We're seeing cases of voters knowing full well what Trump was promising to do, yet voting for him anyway against their own best interests. The common thread when I read articles about such people is that they thought Trump was "just talking" and wasn't really going to do what he was promising to do, if it was something that might hurt them. Trump voters seemed willing to engage in a higher degree of wishful thinking about him than just about any candidate I've ever seen before.

Robert Heinlein stated that when you walk in a voting booth, there should be a screen with a quadratic equation on it. Solve it and you get to vote. Get it wrong and the booth flashes a light and a siren goes off, so everyone knows you are too stupid to vote. Of course he was just using Math as an example but his point was when idiots vote, they vote for idiots.

I remember when I was in the Army as a junior officer, I was having a chat with my sergeant. He was highly educated, with a degree in Military History and we were talking about general knowledge in society. He told me to go ask the troops who the Prime Minister and Governor General of Canada was and be prepared for the answer. Asking around, I discovered that the majority had no clue. When I asked them more basic questions about how society was run, they still had no idea.
I am always befuddled by people who live their lives in a fog.
