Liberty is currently being dragged into a dark alley.  We will find out what happens to her on November 4th.

This article about the US postal service is depressing reading: LINK

particularly the bit about a plan to distribute 5 masks to every household to help combat the spread of coronavirus, an idea that was reportedly nixed by the White House for fears it might 'create concern'.

About the USPS news: Now let's hope that ruling is actually enforced!

White House abandoned plan to send 650 million face masks across the U.S. in April, report says.

The plan would have sent a pack of five reusable masks to every residential address in the country, the Washington Post reported, citing one of thousands of internal post office documents obtained by watchdog group American Oversight.

“Our organization is uniquely suited to undertake this historic mission of delivering face coverings to every American household in the fight against the COVID-19 virus,” then-Postmaster General and CEO Megan J. Brennan said in the scrapped news release, which was dated to be released in April.

Brennan was succeeded in the summer by Louis DeJoy.

And now reports coming in about thousands of U.S. postal workers coming down ill to put the cherry on top of this 'not Trump's fault' pie. Grrr. >:^(

I'm on an island in Canada, but I would like to at least visit the U.S. again someday. Nobody can really imagine when the heck that's going to be possible... they keep extending the border closure month after month.

I also don't want to go someplace where I might have people in my face just because I'm wearing a basic surgical mask to act responsibly, cautiously... you could even say conservatively. My parents are in their 70s and I don't want to pass anything on to them. What is with the anti-mask extremism? It makes no sense at all to me, I mean to be against others wearing them, even harassing people for doing so? WTF?

From Medium magazine....
4 scenarios that could lead to a Second US Civil War....

Gave me the willies because they seem entirely plausible.

It really seems like
Democratic voters need to
vote in person instead of
by mail, if they want a
chance of winning and
getting Trump out of
office.

The Republicans have loaded
the federal courts with
Conservative judges who
will gladly declare Trump
the winner, probably on
election night, long before
mail-in ballots can be
counted.

I usually vote by mail.  But this time I will be personally hand delivering my ballot directly to my county clerk’s office.   No shenanigans accepted for this one...

So, the representative of the party of Lincoln was glorifying the battle
prowess of Robert E Lee, the top general fighting AGAINST Lincoln
and the party he now represents.

In Minnesota.

Yup.  I am growing more concerned by the second that there are far too many Americans who cherish being white more than being free.
