If he didn’t want COVID he shouldn’t have tested for it.

Ain’t that how it works?

ITEM: I celebrate in no man's death. l I despise Trump, but I wouldn't wish him dead. I WOULD wish him to be removed from office for his health (cue the 25th Amendment that he's on in a month); at which point, we would have to determine what happens is Trump's illness lasts past Nov 3. I think that the election continues on, no matter who is the acting president. But who takes the oath of office? What becomes of Mike Pence if Trump is incapacitated past Jan 20, 2021, but isn't dead? I wish I had someone familiar with constitutional law for this suddenly probable scenario.

ITEM: Irony or poetic justice, it IS. And I suspect that Trump's age and health put his smack dab in the middle of the most likely victims. I doubt a shot of bleach and a flashlight up the ass are going to make him all better. And his followers can squawk all they want; they can pout and whine about how Trump recovers from it, and how deadly it isn't. 250,000 dead (by election day, surely) will point out the deadliness of corona; and Trump's illness will show that if one doesn't take care, it's really communicable.

ITEM: Three days ago, Trump shared a stage with Joe Biden. No gloves, no masks, no protection that I could see (even though the Cleveland Clinic is a very responsible facility; they did what they could, I'm sure.)

What if, God forbid, Messrs. Trump and Biden die within the next week or two? Do Harris and Pence just get to continue as the nominees? Or do we have to reconvene the conventions? God, what a tangled mess!

The worst outcome for this is that he doesn't get
symptoms.

He's tested positive, but no one is saying he has
symptoms. If he doesn't get those, you can expect that he
will come out more bullish than ever before - it's not
COVID that's killing people, it's their underlying health
issues - that's it, no masks, no rules, nothing.

That would be a disaster.

And I suspect that Trump's age and health put his smack dab in the middle of the most likely victims
------------------------------------
He has an elevated risk from his age, gender and weight, but the mortality rate rises with age, for example once you get into the 90+ bracket the mortality rate gets up to 20%, whereas at Trump's age it's more like 4% (based on one early study).

It's been reported (this
morning) that Trump is
mildly symptomatic, so that
should put to rest
questions of if he's
actually infected.
Hopefully, this wakes some
people up to wearing masks
and taking precautions.

It was also reported that
Trump's camp never
contacted Biden's camp to
inform him that Trump had
tested positive for Covid-
19.
It's quite possible that
both Trump and Biden could
have bad outcomes due to
Covid-19.

Fortunately, Trump's lack of social graces and maturity,
had him avoiding getting anywhere close to Biden, so
hopefully there was no infection.

Trump repeatedly
downplaying the virus,
downplaying the need for
masks, and then actually
getting infected with
Covid-19 is a spectacular
blow against his campaign.
It just shows how badly he
has mishandled the
epidemic.

There would be no strategic
benefit for Trump to gain
by falsely claiming he has
the disease that he's been
publicly stating is going
away, and the worst is
over, and we're almost at
the end of it, etc.

Biden will need multiple
negative test results due
to the tests being only 80%
accurate, but this first
negative result is good
news.

Fake news.

Unfortunately, of all the scenarios, dumbass having Covid is the least likely. It's a political stunt. The fat boy who cried wolf can't be believed. He's lied too many times. Here are my guesses...

- Wants a distraction to postpone/call off the election

- Wants to give power to Pence so Pence can pardon him for his Federal crimes (won't work in NY but helps)

- Wants to use Covid as an excuse for his soon to be embarrassing loss. "I would've won if not for the fake ballots and Covid!"

- Wants to show how "trivial" Covid is when he doesn't get very sick, just a little cold, and miraculously is fine

- Wants to use the disease for above + empowering his fish tank cleaner cure all (which he profits from). "See, I took hydroxychloroquine and I'm fine!"

- Wants to skip further debates, get sympathy, and otherwise benefit the last 30+ days before election

- Wants to change the news cycle that is all about what a jackass he is, his tax fraud/lack of wealth, his debate "performance" and - threw Melania in because her shameful tapes came out yesterday and are already not being talked about because of this "Covid news"

I mean, what is the likelihood he contracted Covid but people around him - Pence, Ivanka, Jared, etc. have not, while people not around him (Melania, who sleeps in a separate wing) did? I would love for it to be true because ain't karma a bitch but let's face it, he will do anything to save himself and could care less what his stunts do to the country. The stock market is in free fall - no big deal to him. As long as he comes out ok. I fully expect him to have to fly to Moscow to "see a specialist" any time now.
