I was referring to Bush and those who cheered on his adventures in Iraq, Kevin, not you.

Hm, maybe I dismissed the possibility of internment camps too soon.....

The key section of the article:  The presidential directives signed Wednesday aim to create more detention centers, add thousands of Border Patrol agents and withhold federal funds from what are known as sanctuary cities, which do not comply with federal immigration laws. One order calls for the “immediate construction of a physical wall.”

Just one more step towards it.

The opportunity to fill gluttonous pockets of the companies
running prisons just increased exponentially.

I'll say this for Trump, as much as I disagree with his policies and priorities, I have to give him credit for how much work he's putting in so far.

25th Amendment, Section 4.

I have a feeling we'll start hearing and reading about this one a lot fairly soon.

Trump and his 'people' recognize the value of chaos.  They are throwing as much....'crap' out there as possible as often as possible to keep the press and the public from focusing on...and dissecting their moves.

The incendiary interviews and the wacky statements are a distraction that the media can't help but focus on.  Even after the first week, you can hear pundits complaining that they can't 'keep up' with the geyser of craziness that is coming out of the WH.
But what is most distressing is that when a foreign leader (former Mexican President Vicente' Fox) tells 'Morning joe' that he sees parallels with Trump and Hitler, the political experts on the show dismiss him, saying his comments "don't help".  They dismiss it as hyperbole.  Which leaves me screaming "HE IS WARNING YOU, YOU IDIOTS!"    We won't end up with the extermination a millions of people, but we can easily end up legally excluding and forcing out millions of people and sending them to their deaths as the forces that sent them here in the first place get stronger....because we are not playing nice with NATO anymore.  We can easily end up with troops patrolling our inner cities.  We can easily end up with a rise in infant mortality and unwanted pregnancies because this administration wants to punish women by getting rid of Planned parenthood and taking away a woman's right to control her own body.

This nation is regressing at an alarming rate.
Realize that 3 current SC justices are in their early 80's or near.  It isn't inconceivable that Trump could fill up to 4 seats during his first term.  If that happens.....you can kiss Roe v. Wade goodbye.  You can kiss same sex marriage goodbye.  You can say 'hello' (AGAIN) to laws that regulate not only who you can sleep with...but what you can do sexually as a consenting adult.

You can say goodbye to environmental regulations that try to keep our air and water clean.  Flint, Michigan happened RIGHT NOW, not 100 years ago.  Flint happened because our Republican governor (and his cronies) chose to 'run the state like a business'.  And they are WAY more Flints in the U.S. than anyone wants to admit.

In the Trump administrations attempt to execute his campaign promises, appease and please the minority of people who voted for him and make his egotistical mark on the world, we are stepping back to some ugly times.

And since the GOP is fully in power, they will go along for the ride because people like the Koch's, the DeVoss's and the other billionaire who are crafting the agenda  demand that they do.  At least they will until it looks like they won't get reelected off of Trump's foolishness. THEN you will see some action!  Watch how they will turn on him if poll numbers leading up to the mid-terms look dismal for them. Because the billionaires can't hold sway if their candidates are not in power.

Folks.  We are fucked.

A liberal party is pretty much worthless if it can't generate well-paying jobs. What's the use of equal rights for everyone if we're all penniless? We would be at each other's throats, all the same. By pulling out of TPP and possibly dissolving NAFTA, Trump has supported blue-collar Democrats in a way their own party never would.

I agree with David when he says "we are fucked".  By the time Trumps 4 year term is up (or he gets impeached first), the bad reputation of the U.S. will be catastrophic!

You're assuming there will still be a United States in 4 years.
