George W (mis)led the nation into war on false pretenses just so he could finally beat his daddy at something. That goes far beyond "subverting norms." --- I reject much of that premise. Did they lie us into a war? Oh shit yeah. Because of Daddy issues? Possible. I'd need more to go on. Did they think the lie was for the greater good? Most likely. Did a lot of people, like Halliburton and Exxon, make a lot of money off of the government in the process? What do you think "the greater good" primarily means to a modern Republican?
