I hope they do. As I have said many times, I don't believe in dirty tricks or illegal behaviour, but he must surely be breaking some rules.
It's a shame that Colonel White lookalike Mike Pence hasn't reined him in. Shame on those who enable him.

Trump can't 'shut down' the media. He's having the same farting spasms Nixon used to have about all the 'commie lib' news outlets he wanted to get rid of. To a lesser extent, LBJ also had a 'shit list' of media outlets.
Unfortunately, as JB said upthread, the day the media pays attention to none of Trump's brain-damaged bullcrap, might be the day everything hits the fan. However, bullshit can be ignored selectively(on a 'turd by turd' basis) and this whining falls into that category.

Bullshit can be ignored selectively... except that with Nixon & LBJ, there was no TWITTER for them to use daily to "inform" the masses. This orange guy in the WH can reach millions at a moment's notice and spew his nonsense!! THAT aspect makes him very annoying as well. Exhausting even at this stage.... but I did say long ago that the media should've stopped attending daily press briefings until he stopped speaking about "FAKE NEWS".
Someone needs to demand he act presidential... or step down.

IMO, we Americans are at heart explorers, adventurers, pioneers. It's quite unique among the peoples of the world. But we are also gunslingers (in a figurative sense). To protect our interests or fight for what is "right", we will confront each other without hesitation. OK, so no big deal, that's how we've been doing it for generations. The problem is the internet has become an immense battlefield where people snipe at each other all day long, forgetting our inhibitions and sense of civility. And now Trump has brought that dysfunction into the highest level of government. Which feeds the flames within the Left and Right, emboldening their respective extremists. Which in turn affects everyday life. Where this is going to go, who the hell knows.

I apologize in advance but could not let it go.
IMO, speaking for the peoples of the world, those attributes are not unique to the US. There really is a World of ideas and wonders beyond the American bubble.

Just reflecting that only 8 months ago, an undisclosed Turkish agent served as National Security Adviser. Every United States secret was compromised. In a sane and "well-regulated" world that appointment would be an impeachable offense, but in ours its a forgotten embarrassment.

I often hear we are to respect the office, even if we do not respect the man.
Well, this man has shown nothing but utter contempt for the office and I find myself unable to respect that office until the man is removed.
And every Republican that continues to back him also shows utter contempt for the office by allowing such a dictator to remain.

Threatening to withhold helps based on his ego and whims. Man, I wish this idiot would get impeached already.

He keeps pissing on Puerto Rico over how much money they don't have, yet he seems to forget the $33 million he bilked them out of when his golf club declared down there declared bankruptcy.
Not to mention he sure didn't threaten to pull FEMA out of Texas or Florida. Could his bias against hispanics be more blatant?
