Picture tens of DALEKS getting those Sal Buscema punches...

I CAN picture that! The Daleks already look sorta like Sal drew them!

Wallace, that is still my favorite iteration of the character. Perez made him so distinctive that I'm amazed at how off-model the Nu52 and other versions seem in comparison. There seemed to be a genuine humanity to the characters in the original Wolfman/Perez run of the New Teen Titans.

A Sal Buscema Who/Hulk team-up would have been a beautiful, beautiful thing. I remember thinking at the time of the first Doctor Who Marvel Premiere issue that it was going to be interesting seeing him interact with the rest of the Marvel characters now that he'd been brought on board. The art inside immediately tipped me that it was only a reprint of the British strips and therefore not "new," so any "new" stuff with the character was unlikely, but for a moment there, things looked so promising! "Hulk Smash!" "Yes, yes, I rather imagine that you do..."

Most modern comicbook artists produce a kind of cookie-cutter set of characters. One needs look no further than the transformation of Wonder Girl when I let go of her.

Sadly, this seems to be what much of the audience wants.
