Because Eric Singer kicks ass, that's why.

And I never cared about Peter either way. I'm an Eric Carr guy :)

I'm with John. Eric Carr was their best drummer. But to me anyone on lead guitar other than Ace is just a fill-in.

(I'm kind of bummed... what happened to Robbie Parry?  "Not Active" anymore?  Where'd he go???)

(A shame.  Seemed like a good egg.  Sorry to see he's no longer around, I enjoyed his posts.)

"He's conspicuous by his absence."

I was wondering the same thing about Robbie.
I hope he is doing well!

Robbie was a good poster, the site is less fun without
him.

He started some fun but thoughtful threads... including this one!

Well, Robbie, if you're still out there, we miss ya already!  :)

So apparently, when Beth is performed now, Singer is also playing piano. No karaoke with a tape. That’s pretty cool.

I mean, it's cool I guess, but it's pretty clearly the usual full orchestra track playing.  At most he's pounding out chords, but I wouldn't be surprised if the piano isn't even really plugged in to anything.

I don't get why they just don't play it with acoustic guitars.

The band was actually on The Price Is Right. They gave away a big prize (yes, the contestant had to win a game to get it), and later on were part of the Showcase Showdown. The Showcase prizes were band-used instruments (signed!) and tickets to the KISS KRUISE. (The contestant who won the first prize lost the Showcase Showdown, however.)

I'll have to think and edit in other answers later, but a few I have hands down favorites:

Destroyer - God Of Thunder
Rock N Roll Over - Hard Luck Woman
Music From The Elder - A World Without Heroes
Creatures of the Night - I Love It Loud
Lick It Up - All Hell's Breakin' Loose
Animalize - Heaven's On Fire
Asylum - Tears Are Falling
Crazy Nights - Reason To Live
Revenge - Unholy
Psycho Circus - Psycho Circus

I haven't heard anything off Sonic Boom or Monster.....yet.

Sonic Boom has a couple of actual good songs on it. The aforementioned Say Yeah, and I quite like Modern Day Delilah. Monster has some ok tunes on it, but they’re all pretty forgettable. Not Pete solo album forgettable, but forgettable.

Yeah, I thought Sonic Boom was overall pretty solid.  Monster less so but there's a couple decent things on it.

SONIC BOOM kinda of reminded me of ROCK AND ROLL OVER, which it was seemed they might have been going for, even having RNRO cover artist Michael Doret back for this effort (though I found the latter's cover far inferior to the former's).

The SONIC BOOM album did emulate RNRO solidly with lots of back-to-basics, straight-ahead rock and roll.

They should have perhaps just called it ROCK AND ROLL OVER AND OUT and had it been their last studio album.

MONSTER, I was less enamored with, clearly.

I know what the deal is with "Hide Your Heart", ie Paul Stanley being one of the writers, Bonnie Tyler releasing it first, and KISS, Ace Frehley, Robin Beck and Molly Hatchet all releasing their versions of it. But, I've never heard the Robin Beck version. (In fact, I don't believe I've ever heard anything by her....)

My order of preference?

Ace
KISS
Molly Hatchet
Bonnie Tyler (In fact, I don't like her version at all. Love the first three I listed, but there's a wide gap between the Molly Hatchet and Bonnie Tyler versions.)
