Ok, I know with all the trees JB had cut down, turned to paper and then skillfully drew on, it'd be almost impossible to pick a single image that he drew that is your favorite, so I'm gonna cut you a bit of slack and allow you to post one OR two of your favorites single images in the entire history of John Byrne art!
Here are my two:
and my second favorite:

Too hard to narrow down for me. Like with many times when asked to name a favorite something or another, I have many things I like equally for different reasons. JB has drawn so much that I enjoy, it's simply to hard for me to whittle it down to one or two.

Just curious what the image above would look like with the blacks more solid:

I can pick two of my favorites, but not the two most favorite. Far too many things out there, over too many years, and too many pleasant associations with too many books.
Two classic images that I love and continue coming back to are the center spread to Fantastic Four Chronicles and the cover to X-Men #141...
Honestly, though, given a 100 images, I still couldn't get all the way through a "most favorite" list. Good grief, the number of commissions alone might take up most of that...

Mi favorite images by JB:
What I love in JB's art is not the cosmic grandeur (which I love btw), but the details, not only in the background but in the body language.
-edited to add: Before him the only artist I was aware of doing that was John Buscema-

Byrne characters are really good actors aren't they? Not just a collection of poses.

I'm having trouble resizing an image, but it has to be the final page of MOS #6 for me. Perfect!

I'm with Brian. The FF friends and foe that became a poster has to be among my favorite Byrne images. That poster hung on my bedroom wall at my parents' house for many a year. In fact, it's back up at my current house!
