The consideration that might have been presented is that an extinction level event in the Framework isn't much more complicated than a power failure. Well, it would be a lot more complex, sure... but not nearly as hard as in the real world.

That being said... how could someone choose to leave their child? That's so me damned nice drama. And a metaquestion... is Mack's actor returning to AoS next season?

OPINION: I still wish they had called May "Black Widow" in the Framework. It's not as if it's copyrighted by someone who wouldn't let Marvel use it...

Mac made the right choice. He didn't even have scraps of memory from the real world so there would be no way he could leave his daughter.

I was holding out hope to the end that there would be a Bobbi and Hunter sighting in the framework.

Will there be another season of AoS? I'm thinking these last looks at characters lost along the way might be a way of saying goodbye.

How do you think Marvel should bring this series to an end?

Eric - a power failure would have to be world wide since the Framework is hacked into everywhere, thanks to the Darkhold.

I like the idea of bringing some characters back though the framework - either as LMDs or synthetic humans. Plenty of good stories to be had there.

I sure hope AoS ha another season! It's been my fav hero show lately.

I was thinking - if the framework Skye did come back when Daisy went through the portal, doesn't that mean Skye came back in the "lava pit"????? So, no Ward - your Skye isn't coming back to you.

I sort of can't believe how consistently great this show is.  Even when I'm not as into a particular plot (I thought Ghost Rider an odd fit and didn't really connect with the AoS version of the character, for example), the strength of the character writing and acting for the core cast always delivers an hour of television I actually give a shit about.

I feel about Quake pretty much the same way I felt about Kitty Pryde when I was 13.  Couslon is perhaps the deepest character portrayal in the MCU.  Ming Na blows me away consistently with her intensity and action chops (with the May vs. May fight from a while back being one of the best fight scenes of all time).

"And the rest," as they say, although I really have to give props to Iain de Caestecker for his painful, wounded breakdown at the end of this episode.  Heartbreaking, and I suspect it's going to get worse.  Goddamn, this is good TV.

As an aside: how amazing is it that they're just doing a straight-up Matrix ripoff and it doesn't feel derivative in the slightest?  THAT'S good writing.

I think the 'reset' effect when Coulson jumped through suggested that the Framework goes back to a default for each character/element when the real-world avatar is removed.  I don't think we're quite done with the Framework, and I'll bet we see woke Ward and his Skye together before the end of the season.

Holy shit!  AOS just dropped the mic...again!

Aida turns out to be THE villain the MCU has needed all along.
More menacing than Loki has ever been.  Only Daredevil's Kingpin has come close to matching the intensity she displayed tonight.

Superb episode.  Just amazing.

Hmm. I think on any other show, Ophelia would be a Lifetime Movie
"Woman Scorned" villain. It works on AOS because they've earned it in
setting her up to literally be an emotional infant and because Mallory
Jansen has been killing it with the range of characters she's been
playing. AIDA, "Evil" AIDA, Agnes, Madame Hydra, and Ophelia are all
distinct characters.

To the tune of Matthew McConaughey's Oscar acceptance speech: "Season five, season five, season five, season five!"

AIDA/Ophelia is the best live-action supervillain I have ever seen, in any form.

Sorry Loki, but you're on the bench.

Last night's seemed a bit anti climatic re: AIDA.

I guess I was wanting a bigger throw down. Even a May, AIDA fight scene before the inevitable Ghost Rider finish.

The Mac, Hope scene was heartbreaking.

Ditto what Doug said.

INVISO TEXT (Click or highlight to reveal):
I think they could have given Aida a few more seconds of air time, pleading for her life calling out to Fitz to save her. Make her death more gut wrenching for Fitz. Sure they sorta did that through body language, but some emotional outburst would have been strong.

But all in all, I still think it was a great finish to the season.

Clearly Coulson made a deal with the devil so we all know what that means, right?

Any guesses what the cliffhanger in space is hinting at? S.W.O.R.D. maybe?

The Aida wrap was definitely a bit rushed, although I liked that they gave a little space to give Radcliffe a proper send-off.

Sorry to zombify a month old thread, but he wife and I finally carved out some time to watch the last four episodes.

Bravura acting by Malory Jensen at the end there.  She really had to portray a huge gamut of human emotions in a short amount of time.  Much different than her role on Galavant.

I wasn't fond of the Darkhold plot overall, but I really liked Robby Reyes/Ghostrider's portrayal.  It's one of the very few live action versions of a character that I felt like I understood more than the comic version. (Should note that I only ever saw the Blaze and Ketch GR's, so I don't know how the Reyes version was handled in the comics).

I guess my only beef is SHIELD constantly being outlawed, infiltrated, erased, rebuilt, outlawed again...that part of it is fatiguing.  This is the TV equivalent of the convoluted way JJ Abrams made the "Resistance" the underdogs in Force Awakens.
