The Batman page that Joel Tesch scanned looks unrecognisable. Shouldn't Batman be looking brooding? :P

My favorite scene is the end of FF #289 (I think)when Blastaar fools Johnny Storm into freeing Annihilus and giving him his power back. It was a great splash last page reveal and, also, I was relatively new to reading comics at that point but I'd read the Official Handbooks and what not and always loved the look of Annihilus and was ecstatic to finally get to read a story with him as the bad guy.

I was 10 when I bought this comic book. It was my first X-Men comic and it is still my favorite. The Cyclops scene is my favorite panel in comics. Thank you.

I agree with John Popa about the splash page in FF #289. It is so dynamic and so is the opening splash in #290.  Byrne draws unconscious people better than anyone!:) Look how powerful and victorious (and scary) Annihilus looks, AMAZING!!

There is a subtle scene when Wolverine is in the tunnels below the Hellfire Club with Nightcrawler, and he strips the electrical cable - a little strategic move that would pay off later.  Loved that scene!

As for less subtle, there is the image of Wolverine emerging from the sewer, Superman flying from Man of Steel #1, the Human Fly cover, Count Nefaria from Avengers #164 - 166, any panel from X-Men #137...I could be here a while!
