AWESOME!!! This really looks intense! I love the look on Mastermind's face in particular.

WOW, JB -- your new stuff is so BETTER!!! Look at the linework, the angle and the shadows!!
Right now -- I'm imagining the entire Dark Phoenix Saga drawn by JB today!!!

Dear lord, so many great things happening here. Stunning drapery, masterful camera angle...the detail on the ceiling, wall paneling and window...there just aren't enough superlatives to cover it all.

Cool direction of view -- how often do we look up at a ceiling in a comic book panel? Not very often, methinks (the ceiling panels, by the way, are excellently done!).
Great dramatic shadows as well. The combination of those shadows, the costumes, the decor and the dark'n'stormy look out the windows gives the whole piece a gothic vibe.

Always loved the shot of Mastermind's astral projection of madness out through the cosmos! Next commission: Wolverine on top of Leland already 3 floors deep and headed for the cellar with the camera just 2 feet below Leland! That story had so many good visuals!

As good an example of the effect of a low POV as you are going to see!
The shadow on the wonderfully opulent ceiling just nails it.
I have a fondness for "out-of-his-league guy playing with fire gets his comeuppance" scenes.
Spectacular! And congrats to the commissioner!

Wow, that is intense! The shadow work is really well done, it just adds so much to this piece.

Looking at this made me think of the storm outside the Hellfire Club. Really a dramatic image. Congratulations to the lucky commissioner.

Wonderful work, JB. Phoenix absolutely dominates the room and looks like a giant.
