The inclusion of Catwoman reminds me that I "met" Cheetah on the Superfriends cartoon where she's played as a throwback to 1960s TV series Catwoman ("Purrr-fect"). I think I never got or understood the "hook" of who Cheetah was as a Wonder Woman villain (though alas that is true of many of Princess Diana's villains).

It could be just my imagination, but I'm seeing a bit of Gail Godot in this Wonder Woman!

Not a fan of that new Catwoman costume, but Wonder Woman looks excellent! You really pulled out all the stops with that jungle. Ivy looks right in her element.

A little backstory on how this commission request came about. My sister, Jeannine, has been wrestling with effin cancer the last 4-5 years. It was in remission for a while. I bought her a WW belt buckle last year that she really got a kick out of. I thought, why not a WW piece of art symbolizing her almost heroic battle and show her that she is a WW to all of us. I got together with Jim W. in December 2015 and got the request in to JB hoping to have the piece ready for her birthday in May. In January, from one of my many Sunday evening phone calls to her (she is in Virginia, I am in Texas), Jeannine mentioned one of the scans found some spots on her skull. She spoke like it was just another thing and didn’t give any indication of things getting worse.
Well, the effin cancer metastasized quickly and in February (on her son’s birthday no less), she had fluid in her heart and lungs, her organs were shutting down and, with her oldest and youngest sister present, she unexpectedly passed away. Mom and Dad took it really hard. At the funeral service meal, they displayed pictures, and articles about her and lo and behold, the WW buckle was on display too. Jeannine was a strong woman that didn’t want to have people worry about her so, I think, she kept a lot of bad news away from the family. Everyone thought she had a lot more life to live. She was one year older then I and we had a lot of school memories to share. I miss her.
She would have absolutely LOVED this piece from you, JB! Hopefully, she is checking it out right now. This will be framed and displayed with your other art and will joyfully make me think of my sister and the good times. Thanks!

Thank you for the backstory, Greg. My heartfelt condolences. I have been down that road myself too many times.
