This is my favorite BATMAN logo....

On the Marvel side, I was introduced to the FANTASTIC FOUR with this header... and so it really brings me good memories of that era...

I really like the old Frank Miller era logo, with the corner box figure incorporated into the design--

But I also like the simpler present-day one--

I always thought the old Spider-Man did everything a logo's supposed to do: It got your attention; it left plenty of room for the artwork around and behind it; and it had a little artistic touch (that webbing at the top) that could have been stupid but was just quirky enough to work!

And Spider-Woman's was also eye-catching, unique to the character (it was a little weird, just like the book!), and left room for art.  And that curved effect was pretty unique.

Of course, the curve was also used to great effect on the short-lived Scorpion comic (at the short-lived Atlas Comics!)--

And is it just me or was the plain and simple Defenders logo pretty perfect?  Very clear to read, leaving plenty of room for cover art, and it's one of those that could be played with.  I've actually drawn this one!--incorporating it into a pin-up shot I did, with the Hulk slightly crushing it in his hands above his head.

Eric Jansen - I'm with you. Since the first time I saw it, I always thought that the Defenders logo was clean and classic, easily recognizable, and majestic in its way.

The original Superman logo is the standard I think. However, some other heroes didn't seem to exactly fit in with it (Batman, Superboy, etc.) However, no replacement of the original Superman logo has suited - but I guess that could just be that I feel its style is untouchable.

I'll also put in a vote for my favorite non-consistent logo - the Spirit. That Eisner was a genius.

As for a few other logos I really liked...

And best of all - TWO of my favorite logos for the price of one!

I love a lot of the ones already mentioned (especially Superman and the original FF) but I'm also extremely fond of the original Action Comics logo.

On one hand, it's VERY 1938, but I love that whole aesthetic and it still feels timeless somehow.

Lotta great ones. I'm pretty fond of most of 'em!

For some reason, my phone's not letting me post pics here, but I'm
pretty partial to the classic Silver Age SUPERBOY logo.
