Fun doesn't begin to cover it, Brian! This is like having cataract surgery and suddenly seeing the world again. Fires are burning that have not been OUT -- the commissions have saved me from that -- but have been burning low.

So, yay!

That's great to hear about! I've been experiencing the same type of thing
as well, and I think that's what overjoys me to see how you feel in this
process. I've been a graphic designer for 20 years, but I'm making
strides to drawing portrait commissions full-time. And it's just as you
describe - something's reigniting, and life just feels right when I'm doing
it.

Considering today's comics are "designed for color", if this coloring book style turns out to be faster than your comic book style, might you just adopt it as your normal way of drawing for comics?  Style may not be quite the right word.  Approach?

In addition to Moebius, from the little slices of previews, I'm also reminded of Geof Darrow.  Which is a compliment in my book.

••

I've already noted that it's about a third SLOWER.

What size will these be printed out as? Treasury-sized or bigger would be nice.

Chris has expressed an interest in doing the book treasury size, tho that would mean printing the images at actual drawn size, which might make my already rough line look even rougher!!

Sorry JB, I misread that post and thought these pages were going faster.
