Why not just make every issue #1 and have "All New" and "A shocking death this issue!!!!" plastered on every cover?

Dealers will over order every issue, fanboys will pee all over themselves, the companies make lots of money, and everyone is happy...

Will Superman look like Superman again?  That'd be nice...

haha another reboot? oy vey

question for the board: if you had to pick, new 52 Superman or 90s mullet Superman?

I'd sadly pick mullet Superman. At least it's still the legacy character we all knew and loved.

Amazing how we keep cutting back our expectations. I'm with Steven in requesting "good comics" for now. I would give the big two lots of latitude with that definition as well just to get me opening my wallet on a regular basis again. But for now, there is nothing that attracts me to comics as they are currently produced.

So basically, they have altered and changed their core franchise characters SO MUCH that they are shocked that sales are tanking. HARD. So now lets play catch up to all the fans we might have lost with the new 52 reboot.

Pass pass pass. I dropped all comics, Marvel and DC when New 52 came about. And it's been wonderful ever since. I sure have a lot more money in my bank account now.

I would have had more excitement had it been a complete and total reboot. But instead they reboot the characters that didn't really need it, but kept all the barnacles on the two characters that needed it the most, Batman and Green Lantern. Make complete sense!

If Johns, Lee and Didio had any other type or corporate jobs they would have been fired a long long time ago. Not saying Johns and Lee aren't talented, just saying they shouldn't be in charge of classic pop culture American staples. Those guys are so concerned with making their characters "kewl", and not just "cool."

I'm happy they are dropping the prices a dollar at least.

Maybe we can get the old costumes back too. I have a suspicion that we may at least see the classic Superman look back.

"question for the board: if you had to pick, new 52 Superman or 90s mullet Superman?"

It wasn't even a mullet! Some less fashionably inclined artists just chose to draw it that way.

Every time I see "New Reboot!" from DC, I have only two thoughts:

"Our last reboot failed!"
and
"Don't get too comfortable with this reboot because we're just going to pull the rug out from you again in a couple of years."

The $2.99 price drop just confirms they were charging what they thought the market would stand.

* * *

But aren't some of the comics going to be bi-weekly, so that means you are paying $6 a month on 1 title.

True! If only they`d cut the number of titles to about 26 and stick to the characters in their classic iterations...quality not quantity!

"Rebirth." Which implies that it needs a birth again. Which implies that it's dead.

DC seems quite intent on achieving that status now, I think. Dunno if they can commit to BOTH sides of that equation, though.
