The revival of the Ditko birthday thread reminded me we need one for The Man!

Happy 93rd to Mr. Lee today.

Happy birthday Stan (and many more)!!
Had the pleasure of meeting the man in 1991 (the lines were much smaller back then).
Still cherish the copy of Amazing Spider-Man he signed to me.

I just read his comic book form autobiography, which was fun and informative!  Excelsior, Stan!

Lee's output in the 1960s is stunning. I recall how my then-girlfriend saw the
first SPIDER-MAN film with me and was stunned to discover that the same
man had a hand in the creation of the Hulk and the X-Men (just the characters
currently with big-budget films). Now, we can add Captain America, Iron Man,
and Thor to the list.

I was re-reading some classic Romita-Lee SPIDER-MAN today and the art and
storytelling that Jazzy John delivered is stunning, but you can always tell the
addition of the Stan "the Man" touch: The wit, the pathos.... truly a style of
comic-book writing that launched a universe.

Thanks, Mr. Lee.

Very clever of Stan to turn 93 three days after Christmas. I always feel bad for people who fall outside of the age range of "kids from one to 93" in "Chestnuts Roasting" so he got to have one last year of Nat King Cole wishing him Merry Christmas.

Yes, I know Stan is Jewish, but so were the people who wrote "Chestnuts Roasting."

In all seriousness, a very happy birthday to a legend and may there be many, many more.
