Wow. This is major. Best of luck with the purchase, sale and move.
Perhaps the house will be purchased by some appreciative comic book
fan...

As a fellow not-so-neat person, I understand completely where you're coming from, JB. I need to build a bigger workshop, but since it took me almost ten years to get it where it is now, I don't know I'll live long enough to do it over again.

And the new Byrne domicile shall be called........anything JB wants.

Well, JB is a Kirby fan, so how about "Byrne's Ranch"?

I would advise against "Neverland".

As the guy who's always called to help friends move (which reminds me, I need to move a few times to get even with those s.o.b.'s), I heartily agree with your use of professional movers. Your friends appreciate it, and it keeps you from buying all that beer they'd work for.

My wife and I have been dreaming of building our dream house back in the woods. Two years and about twenty plans later, I'm still scratching designs out on the CAD. And when I think of how many TKD lessons I'll have to teach to make the monthly............ugh.

Can you imagine how cool it would be for a comic fan to buy the house that John Byrne used to live in?  I'd think that would be a nice selling point.

I have to say - the architecture (sp) of that house reminds me of the B.P.R.D. headquarters. It´s in Fairfield right ?

(spelling)

What a beautiful place! Good luck on the move-- I have a similar situation in that I have to clear out about 50-60 boxes of books, comics et al. before my wedding/wifely move-in in May. Argh.

[Should have added, I currently live in a 550 sq ft one bdrm apt in downtown DC... it's a bit claustrophobic with stuff...]

That looks gorgeous! Next you'll be walking around in slippers and a dressing-gown and entertaining lots of bikini clad lovelies around the pool.

I'm now waiting for the reply: "And that's different from me now because?"

;-)

Reminds me of the saying "A change is as good as a holiday!", well unless the change is a terminal one!
