Another for Paul Greer's Spider-Collection:

8.5x11 inches.

I immediately "felt" the weight of that microscope in those hands and the pressure of it against Ben's left thumb. Really nice drawing!

What a great pose. Talk about the opposite of a villain!

That just about brings a tear to the eye. A sharp departure from villains.

Really, really nice...I especially like the way that right hand responds to
the contours of the microscope. What detail!

That's how ya' do it, ladies and gentlemen...that's capturing the human
form!

Sadly, there was a shadow across this one, as I drew it. (And, no! I was not sitting in my own light!)

I could not help but think back to the legions of half wits who went ballistic when, in CHAPTER ONE, I had Ben and May give Peter a computer "instead" of a microscope. These were staunch defenders of the Spider-Mythos, who somehow missed the fact that Peter got the computer, in my tale, when he was about 10 years old, and got the microscope, in Stan and Steve's original, AFTER he became Spider-Man.

Nothing so much fun as being raked over the coals by self-appointed Continuity Cops who actually know LESS than I do!!
