Now that Christmas and Hanukkah are over, what did you get, be it comics-related or anything else you were happy to receive?

Comics-wise, I got the Roger Stern Spider-Man omnibus and Big Apple Comix #1 (which I first heard about on this very forum).

For non-comics, I got a DasKeyboard 4 Professional MX Blue Switch keyboard, 2 Patrick Lee paperbacks (books 2 & 3 of the Travis Chase trilogy), and a few other odds & ends.

It was a great Christmas.

I got some clothes and gift certificates,  and a Blu Ray movie. It was a nice time with my family.

Family and friends were exceptionally kind this year. I lost my job about three months ago. I found another fairly quickly, but the money and hours are a good deal less than what I'd previously had. Folks came through this Christmas with cash and gift cards aplenty.

I'm told (via cards and in person) that the reason is that I'm "impossible to shop for." I'm not sure that's entirely true. Usually, a few toy robots and I'm happy, but I'm nevertheless glad that people seem to think I'm so difficult. Either that or they're cunningly disguising their concern. Either way, it's been a blessed holiday.

I've been a bit down since the job loss so everyone was very insistent that I get out and join them for dinners and gift exchanges. Really, at this point, I couldn't be more touched or grateful.

Some movies and video games, along with the TPB's of TRIO, TRIPLE HELIX, COLD WAR and THE HIGH WAYS. First time reading any of them, and they are absolutely amazing! It's like reading actual comic books again!

Of course, now I need to buy everything JB has done with IDW. I sense a shopping spree in the near future!

It is the first time I choked up receiving a gift. The Wonder Cabinet" is amazing.

No holiday swag for me (or my wife either).  The money went to booking our 20th anniversary cruise in Alaska in 2016.  For us, it was money well spent.  :)
