[EDIT-25th-June 2019. The length of a page strand has been altered in order to better serve the Fan-Fiction Board. The knock-on result is that my general description of where some of these observations lie within the now old page structure is misleading. You will be taken to the appropriate thread but you will need to roughly -double- my estimates]

Steven Legge noted that there are a lot of pearls of wisdom here abouts. Sometimes finding these might be a laborious task. I thought maybe collecting them in their own thread, might help cut down on the searching.

Here are a couple to get started.

Depth:

“I encouragepeople to think in terms of line weights. The further away an
objectis, the thinner the lines. ”

Writing Tip:

“I have writtenthree published novels, so far, and in each instance I found the best"groove" to get into for writing the first draft was tobasically pretend I was not writing, but readingthe book. Just let it flow, whatever wants to come out. Later, whenyou start honing it into a second or third or fourth draft, you canturn it into English and pound out the lumpy parts. (When I startedmy surgery on "Whipping Boy" I cut no less than 11significant characters and more than 250 pages of story! And I wasstill left with about 750 pages!)”

Awesome, Darren! This is practically a new FAQ for technical questions.
Thanks for taking the time and putting it together!

I've read JB talking about Spider-Man's webbing before, but it's never fully clicked what he meant until I re-looked at that image above. Now it all makes sense. Thanks!
