A couple of other Infantino features that deserve mention:  Strange Sports Stories, Space Museum, the original Phantom Stranger, the Trigger Twins, and most of all:  Adam Strange, one of my all-time favorites.

One of my all-time favorites... his work for me is epitomizes 1960s DC at its finest.   The Flash was a gateway drug to an addiction that lasted about 30 years, so Infantino was kind of a benevolent pusher (or was he one of the narcotics?) helping me experience a whole different world particularly in the form of ultra sleek cityscapes, Batman and The Flash. R.I.P. Carmine Infantino.

Loved his work on Star Wars and Flash.
And i love the yellow oval Batman emblem.
Also loved his Batman & Batgirl work.

My introduction to Carmine Infantino came through Marvel Comics, where he had brief stints as an artist during the late 1970s and early 1980s.  The first instance was an issue of The Human Fly in which the Ghost Rider guested; the second was part of his run on Spider-Woman where she fought against the Cult of Kali.  There was something about his style which stood out even then.

More of these old masters are going to be leaving us sooner than we think.  We're quickly missing our chances to exchange greetings with them.  Carmine has gone to join Kirby, the elder Buscema, and Colan amongst the throng that passed before him.

RIP
