I still believe superhero comics were the healthiest and the most fun when there were several different Mars and Martians and several different Atlantis-es and no one cared or tried to explain it.

Has IDW ever done a crossover project before with DC or Marvel? It would be cool to see.

=========
We've done one each so far: Avengers/Transformers a few years back (put together by Marvel/Top Cow), and Star Trek/LSH last year (but together by IDW).

IMPORTANT NOTE to Erik Larsen:THIS IS NOT A TANGENT! ---------------------------------- LOL!! On a separate note, that little crop makes me hear the noise, even without onomatopoeia. This is another one of those commissions that I need to study a bit more in the gallery before I can make proper comment. Love the monstrous creatures in the background.

Great piece! Kudos to Larry for such a great idea.
This would definitely be a great idea for a mini series! Or, if Paramount would allow it, JB doing Star Trek TOS vs. Mars Attacks... That could be just as cool.

I love the Mars Attacks cards. I wasn't born yet when they came out, but I have seen them over the years. You draw the charaters very well John, great commission.

Maybe 12.
SER: It's interesting how so many issues developed once the creators made the (wrong, I think) choice to "age" Dick Grayson. When Robin's 12, there's no issue with the costume. When Robin's 12, there's no tension between Batman and Robin because Robin isn't trying to define himself as an adult. A 12-yr-old Robin probably thinks Batman walks on water and is having the time of his life -- just like we did at that age when reading their adventures.

A 12-yr-old Robin probably thinks Batman walks on water and is having the time of his life -- just like we did at that age when reading their adventures.•• Robin, Aqualad and Kid Flash aged slightly with the introduction of the Teen Titans in their own book, but right from the start Wonder Girl was showing distinct signs of hormonal changes! This is odd, considering she was a "photograph" of Wonder Woman, but that was just one of the many things DC would struggle to explain in later issues. Around about issue 6, especially on the cover, the changes in Wonder Girl started to become REALLY apparent, and the boys began to develop more adult physiques as if to stay, er, abreast of her. When Dick was shipped off to college, in BATMAN, so his guardian could go back to his loner status, all bets were off.

A great commission and an interesting idea. The combination of Batman and the Martians is very well done. And it looks like fun!

John said:"It's the Varvel Age of Comics!"

Awful. I should know, that's the kind of play on words I'm infamous for with my colleagues!
Also, technically, isn't it the Varvel Age of DC Comics?
