I didn't want to hijack the monster maker thread, but I did want to know what toys left an impression on you when you were young. Some of these now vintage items are worth a pretty penny. My best friend down the street, who I still keep in touch with, had a Milton Bradley game called The Dark Tower. It was only produced for a year, but it was lots of fun for us. On my last visit to the States, my buddy Mark pulled out the game in almost mint condition when he found it at a flee market. From what I understand, working and complete copies of this electronic game go for over $200 US. Here is a picture:

What toys do you remember from your youth?

As a kid, I wanted the Mego Batman with removable cowl. Never have owned one, yet.

When I was a kid, I thought The Micronauts were the best thing ever!

Easy...

The upper car, the ALP tin toy of the 1956 Lincoln Futura showcar, later cannibalized by George Barris into TV's Batmobile (seen here from Hot Wheels in roughly the same 1:18 scale).

I got my original Futura (the one above is from eBay) some time around 1960.

Legos for me.  Back in the day, my parents got so many sets that I had a trunk full of the little blocks, and I kept fooling around with them up until I was a teenager.

My nephew now has the passion for the stuff.

This is easy! The Transformers! I still have mine in a large plastic tub in my closet. Man, I played the holy heck out of them!

Not toys that I ever had, but I was surprised to discover just yesterday, that Mego the company that gave us "The World's Greatest Super-Heroes" line, the "Star Trek" line and the "Planet of the Apes" line of action figures also put out a "Waltons" line.  I like watching the Waltons but I can't picture kids playing with Waltons action figures.

"Hurry up John-Boy, let's get down to Ike's store before we miss the bus into Rockfish!"
