Romita did some Marvel Treasury Edition covers that more-or-less stand as the definitive '70s likeness for each character -

I had the FF, the Holiday Grab-Bag, and of course this one with an iconic Spider-Man pose.

I still have that SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN treasury. It's held
together with tape, I believe. IIRC, this was my first exposure to Steve
Ditko's work.

I still have mine somewhere also.  I read them over and over and over.  They were great for exposing young readers to what came before.  The FF treasury was where I first read one of my all-time favorite stories--"This Man, This Monster".

One has the reprint of DD #7 which was my first Wally Wood art.  I remember being captivated by it.  There is one panel that shows Namor breaking thru the front doors at the courthouse( I believe) and the way Wally drew the violence of the doors breaking/coming off their hinges and yet the casual ease of Namor was very, very cool to my young eyes.

During the early 70's Marvel "superheroed" some characters who's costumes weren't that superheroic.  I guess this was their way of giving Nick Fury a sort of mask.  They also did it to Dr. Strange.  Even tho I believe in the storyline Dr. Strange was somebody else.  Been a long time.  It's kind of ironic, seeing how today they do everything in their power to keep them out of costume.  Here is the Dr. Strange version--

Yeah, I remember when they gave Dr. Strange his "Super-Hero look", but what would you really call that thing that Nick is wearing?  Angel wore one as well back then, but it isn't a hood or a mask.

Those treasury covers are a big reason why Romita embodied Marvel
to me when I was a kid. Those pictures of Spider-Man, the FF, Hulk
and Thor are such iconic depictions of the characters. Romita may not
have been perfectly suited to draw the FF or Thor but I think he sure
knew how to capture them in a pin-up!

Man I wish Marvel and DC would reprint ALL those Treasury
Editions, in the original tabloid size. Those things were
beautiful.
