Simple, who are your top 5 artists to have drawn the Incredible Hulk?
Here's mine...

Jack Kirby- Kinda hard to beat the original
Sal Buscema- My first Incredible Hulk comic was draw by none other
That our pal Sal! His work with Jack Abel really
Established the look of the Hulk for me.
John Byrne- Six issues was NOT enough. JB has a knack for drawing
characters how I see them in my head, which is usually
A blend of many artists, and then makes it uniquely his.
Dale Keown- I don't know how to describe it. He probably drew him
the furthest away from his original brutish form, but I
                        really liked the work.
Lee Weeks-My favorite Hulk artist ever.
He draws the closest to Kirby's model I've ever seen, but
in an almost John Buscema style. I've really learned to
love his work and wish he could keep up with a monthly
                       title.

John Byrne - Can't think of anything to say that hasn't already been said.

Jack Kirby - Yes, particularly Hulk's appearance (well, yes, it wasn't the real Hulk) in the Eternals.

Michael Golden - Yes, it was only a few covers, but he also did that great Marvel Fanfare issue featuring the Hulk and Spider-Man!

Bill Sienkiewicz - Again, mostly covers but there was also that Moon Knight back-up story in Rampaging Hulk that featured the Hulk!

Dale Keown - Different looking Hulk, but I really enjoyed the artwork!

  2. John Byrne
  3. Jack Kirby
  4. Steve Ditko
  5. Dale Keown/Herb Trimpe (tie)

Sal Buscema- My favorite
Herb Trimpe- Just a tick behind Sal
John Byrne- Could be #1 if there were more Hulk comics out there by him!
Jeff Purves- really enjoyed his art during the gray Hulk years
Jack Kirby- duh; similar to JB, I wish there was more of Jack's Hulk out there

In alphabetical order...

Sal Buscema
John Byrne
Dale Keown
Jack Kirby
Herb Trimpe

It would be easy to cheat, and slip in a sixth choice, but where's the fun in
that?

I could have EASILY made it a top seven. But then we wouldn't have
to think as much. Like, Joel who slipped in a sixth pick in the form of a
tie. (just having fun with you Joel ;-)
