I've seen you work so it doesn't surprise me. For me what is rather startling is that you resumed what was started a week ago and evidently slipped quickly right into a groove for the last 12 minutes for this piece.

Oh and I love the "story" being told with the fingertips sliced off.

Awesome! Wolverine has rarely looked worse, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Wow! Awesome piece. Love the detail on his claw mechanism.
Also, that Sentinel looks afraid.

Cutting off the fingers does make more sense as to why Logan is not leaping at the Sentinel.

Drawing this, I was thinking that back in the day, Chris and I might have milked an injury of this kind for quite a long time. Logan would have been at least partially incapacitated for several issues, maybe a year or more. Lots of shots of him checking the progress of his healing, as his tissue grew back, slowly, over the skeletal armature.Today, he'd probably be back to fighting fit by the end of the page -- and only that long if the drawing above was the next-to-last panel on that page! (When I finally forced myself to watch the third X-Men movie, I could not believe that the climactic scene between "Jean" and "Logan" actually depended on him being able to regenerate literally as fast as she could disintegrate him. I couldn't decide which aspect of the scene was more absurd -- the speed of his regeneration, or the slowness with which she was disintegrating him! "My" dark Jean would have blasted him to sub-atomic particles with the sweep of a hand.)

These details were, of course, shown, and almost immediately ignored, in the "Days of Future Past" storyline.++ Immediately? •• That's not what I said now, is it?

Going down swinging! Nice!
Besides the above scene, it's been a long time since I was actually worried if Wolverine would survive a fight. For me, the last time was when Wolverine was fighting Tiger Shark underwater during the Goodwin/Byrne run.
