11" x 17" illo featuring an imaginary Champions cover featuring an attack on Champions Tower. The details are:

Heroes:

- Black Widow
- Ghost Rider
- Spider-Woman (in the costume from her series)

Wild card character of your choice from the following list:

- Angel
- Iceman
- Hercules

Villains:

- Swarm
- The Scorpion (Ditko version of costume)
- The Fly (Amazing Spider-Man # 193 and Annual # 10)

Please include the logo, Marvel banner, and corner box character (Hercules head)

The action can be taking place inside or outside of Champions Tower

Curious little coincidence on this one. I used the date I started work on it as the "issue number", 29 FEB 2012. As it happens, my first issue of THE CHAMPIONS had a FEB cover date, and the issue code was 02112.

Close enough for comics, right?

I noticed something while reviewing my issues of THE CHAMPIONS working on this piece. Ghost Rider was barely supernatural in those days. For all the supernatural stuff he did, he might as well have been some guy who had created a flaming-skull helmet.

He also spent a whole lot of time hanging out in daylight. It was as if he was basically the Human Torch with a motorcycle.

(I liked Ghost Rider better those days.)

OK, now I want to see the whole book! That cover would entice me to
bu.

So much going on in this piece!  You nailed all the characters in this one.

Love it!

I enjoy the little details you put in to your art JB, in this case Swarm taking off his glove (and holding it in his other hand) to hit Angel.

It's all in the details.

Swarm is one of those rarely seen villains who always creeped me out when I saw him.  Still does! The instant aversion to bees that most of us have contributes greatly to both the look and the feel of a natural villain. Must be kind of a bitch to draw! Really nice piece.

I wouldn't buy that comic. Too much grandeur and big, f*cking, amazing, awesome action and adventure.

I'm into the modern stuff now. Sorry, JB.
