Since my trio of Fall comic shows begins this coming weekend with the Cincinnati Comic Expo I thought I should start a thread relating to the only one that remains threadless...the Detroit Fanfare show on October 30th and 31st!  This will be the much anticipated debut appearance of Joe Hollon at a comic show outside of the comfortable borders of Ohio!  Oh yeah, and Stan Lee will be there too.  I'll be a Stan Lee VIP which allows me to get an item autographed, a photo with Stan and access to a VIP only Q&A session!  Should be a blast!  Other guests of note include Keith Pollard, Jim Starlin, Guy Davis, James O'Barr (I'm looking for a copy of the CROW....), Greg Theakston, Bill Morrison and more!

Of all the places you could go to your first con outside of Ohio, you're going to come up here to Detroit?!?!?!?

Joe...

Think of all the nicer places you could go instead of Detroit: Orlando, Toronto, Charlotte, San Diego, Afganistan, and even Hell!

I think Greer is up to something!

See you there!

I'd had planned on coming up for the weekend, but with it being Halloween I can't leave the wife with the kids alone. Especially since they are three and six, Halloween is fun and realitively new for them.  Hope make it to the Motor City Con next spring.

Philippe,

I have not decided 100% for sure but I am heavily leaning towards this Spider-Man album:

Having that signed would enhance something I already have displayed and if I ever meet John Romita his signature would look great next to Stan's!

Other options:  my Amazing Fantasy Omnibus and a Hulk comic written by Stan already signed by Herb Trimpe.

Joe,

I have a few free pass vouchers for the show.  I know you are doing the Stan Lee VIP ticket, but if Paul or anyone else needs a free pass, shoot me an email.

You just have to register the voucher online and then print your ticket.

I'm thinking I might have to go to this. I live less than 30 minutes away from where this is being held, and I've never had the opportunity to see, meet, or get an autograph from Stan Lee.

I'd be a fool not to go! Right?

Paul is a Stan Lee VIP also.  Where we go, we go in style.

Greg, that would be great!  The more JBF presence we have the better!

It'd be nice to meet some of the gang! I'll have to ponder this. I'd have to do the VIP bit. There's no effing way I'd wait my entire life to see The Man and not do the whole experience.

What would I have him sign...? Hmmm. Spider-Man Omnibus, maybe? FF Omnibus?

Heck, why have him sign anything? Just the chance to be there...! I should do something for him, on general principle!

Paul and I will be there David but I can't commit to anything.  As I stated before, Paul is the official event planner.  When I leave the state of Ohio I go into tonic shock like a shark turned over on its back.  The only thing I'm sure of so far is that Paul and I are staying at Dave Aikins' parents' house for the weekend.  I already called top bunk in Dave's old bedroom.
