. . . you might get it.Of course, sometimes that's a GOOD thing, as when, today, Jim Warden stopped by to pick up the latest batch of commission pieces, and drop off the gift he got me for my upcoming birthday. Presented here without comment (cuz, frankly, words are failing me!):

Wow.
Wonder what the 38/100 means. Is Joe planning another 62 birthday presents to deserving comic book artists?

A stunning gift produced by one of our last, living Masters. John, may you continue drawing as long and as well as Mr. Kubert.

Wonder what the 38/100 means.•• This came with the special edition of Joe's book, of which there will be only 100. Jim had Joe do it on a separate sheet, rather than the flyleaf, so it could be suitably framed.

Well it pays to be in the business. That totally rocks.
When I got my LE book I asked for a Captain America (more like pleaded) and was shot down pretty hard even after 3-4 phone calls. I am not disappointed with the Flash I got but it is no Captain America.
JB, color me very very jealous and congrats!

Well it pays to be in the business. That totally rocks. •• There is so much unbelievable emotion wrapped up in this piece, I am still having trouble putting it all in some kind of order in my head. But follow this, if you can: that kid, that 10 year old version of myself, who picked up BRAVE & BOLD 34 that cold winters day back in 1960. Who was transformed by the VERY FIRST PAGE from an admirer of Joe Kubert to a lifelong FAN. Who got to meet Joe, got to chat with Joe on the phone, got to be treated by Joe as an EQUAL -- and who got this drawing done by Joe, who wasn't really crazy about the idea of doing this character with whom he had no association -- but who did it BECAUSE IT WAS FOR ME! Sell my clothes, I'm goin' to Heaven!
