Started around the third week of April and am now closing in on the end of ASSASSIN'S CREED: ODYSSEY.  Although the main game is nearing completion for me, the Season Pass is going to be a must own simply because I don't want to leave it quite yet.  My only solace is that this franchise releases once a year, so another is just around the corner.  That said?  Absolute best game in the franchise, bar none.  Hard to say that about any franchise (book, movie or game) after so many releases, but it's true.

@ Matt Reed - I have ASSASSIN'S CREED: ODYSSEY, but my son won't let me borrow it and I bought it for him! It looks fantastic from what I've seen.

I haven't played anything new since Spider-Man and Red Dead II. I'm holding out for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 in July.

I did download the free prologue/demo for Octopath Traveler for the Switch. I heard this is really good if you like old school turn-based battle RPGs like Final Fantasy II.

I loved Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I am trying Days Gone and Mortal Kombat right now, and bought Spider-man and Far Cry New Dawn because of Sony's E3 sale.

New Dawn is blah, but I am excited to finish Spider-man. The character animation in Days Gone is great but the game is not. It is however the kind of distraction I need right now

Too bad about DAYS GONE.  Wanted to give it a try, saw your review, Robin, so did some digging.  You are not alone in your reaction.  Money saved for me!

SPIDER-MAN is RDRII level good for me.  Fantastic game.  FC: NEW DAWN is disappointing to say the least for this longtime FC fan.  I particularly hated the ending.  They're going to have to do some ASSASSIN'S CREED level reimagining in order to avoid franchise fatigue

Speaking of ASSASSIN'S CREED, I did some digging on the next release.  Apparently the team behind ODYSSEY is focused on DLC for that game (as well as having learned their lesson after rushing out UNITY) that there won't be a new AC release until Winter 2020. Ah well.  I snagged the Season Pass yesterday, $10 off until 6.17.19 on the PS Store.

The last FC before NEW DAWN was SUCH a letdown I have zero interest in ND
at all.

Dammit though...you all have convinced me to get AC:O, especially since it's
part of PS store's big sale.

I know you haven't dipped your toe in the AC world, but trust me: you'll love ODYSSEY. Open world nearly out of the gate.  Very inclusive for people who haven't played in this particular sandbox before while being rewarding for longtime fans of the franchise.  Tough line to walk, but it does it with ease.

One semi-spoilerific tip...
INVISO TEXT (Click or highlight to reveal):
Early in the game, let the guards/religious fanatic kill the family.  If you don't do it and decide to intervene, that family will eventually spread the plague throughout the world.  It's one of many moral choices you have to make and turns out my good intentions were poor ones!

Starting playing the free demo/prologue for Octopath Traveller for the Switch. Fun game so far. It's a Square Enix' throwback turn-based RPG that's aimed at fans of Final Fantasy II and Chrono Trigger, etc.

I'm probably going to pick up the full game since these type of games are right up my alley.

Wolfenstein co-op!

Lands July 26. Supposed to be the longest game in the series (25-30 hours) and be the most "open world" Wolfenstein has ever been.

Bring it!
