I was wondering if we could post our favorite pics of our favorite characters.  Does this image come to mind first when you think of that character?  Was it from a panel or slash page from a classic issue?  Or a piece from a promotional art work?  A classic cover?

I'll start, here's the image that comes to mind when I think of theHulk.: t

This is of course an atypical image of Wonder Woman -- what with her wielding Thor's hammer and all.  But what I love about this picture is that it manages to convey so many characteristics of Wonder Woman: not just her beauty, but also power and regal bearing.

Most artists manage to convey Wonder Woman's beauty (although I'm amazed at the number who manage to miss even that.)  Bruce Timm and Alan Davis, for example, who draw my second and third favorite versions of that character, both have beautiful versions of Diana.  But they tend to be slight.  Byrne's Wonder Woman looks like someone who can go toe-to-toe with Superman, without crossing the line into looking like a bodybuilder in drag.

My google fu sucks.   When I think of Superman, I always think of this picture.   Been all over, can't find it.

I believe its from the 60s or 70s it has Superman running or flying toward you with his  fist sticking out.  Has a look  on his face like "you know you're not gonna get away..."

Anyone know what I'm talking about?   I've always wondered, who drew it?  It was a pin up in that DC treasury where Superman holding a kid is flying by the Statue of Liberty.

Its also been used for promo art for Superman.
