THE CRAZIES - Decent remake. It suffered from Timothy Olyphant's complete and utter lack of anything resembling charisma.

NINE - awful, bad music and lyrics. wanted to repeat the same formula of "Chicago".

NINE

***

Mildly tempted to see this one due to the presence of Penélope Cruz & Sophia Loren, but Nicole Kidman's involvement kills any interest.  The woman is the cinematic kiss-of-death; how she continues to land these high profile movies is beyond me -- has she had a successful movie in the last 15 years?  Loved her in MOULIN ROUGE, but everything else ... blech.

Cop Out. It was a great homage to 80s cop/comedies right down to the music.  And I have a feeling the extras on the DVD will be hillarious. Can't wait to see!

HOT TUB TIME MACHINE - It was the dumb comedy I thought it would be.  I saw it for free with some friends so it was a good time.

I saw THE WOLFMAN last night. I thought it was just OK. Anthony Hopkins was great, as always. The fight scenes were good. Benicio Del Toro was well cast, looking a lot like Lon Chaney Jr. My problem was that all the stuff that was added to the original story was quite predictable in my opinion.

THE CRAZIES.  Perfectly serviceable zombie movie.  It's exactly what you think it is.

Alice in Wonderland. It was okay. About as good as Sleepy Hollow. Nowhere near as horrid as Mars Attacks or Big Fish.

Still holding out with "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince".  There just hasn't been anything appealing enough to go to the theater.

Took my 9 year old boy to see Alice in Wonderland this afternoon, he really liked it, I thought it was better than I anticipated, not bad actually.

Alice In Wonderland.  Liked more than I expected but at the same time didn't love.  Didn't feel much like a Burton movie to me, even the designs seemed bland.
