While surfing the web for some comic storage ideas I came across furniture maker Stan Pike , he has some really elegant comic storage drawers.  I'd love to get some of these.  He has some nice standard drawer units and then a new idea of stacking units.  Great ideas.   Lovely work.

Very nice, although waaay pricey. I'll stick with my unsorted, unbagged&boarded books in a plastic tote.

Those look great.  I would need a lot of space for those.

$3,000 for a cabinet with 12 draws to store comics?  Are they joking?

Reminds me of a library card catalog.

I have a number of black file cabinets from Home Depot which hold a little over 2,000 comic books each. For less than two-hundred bucks, I think it's a pretty good bargain.

I know that while they are expensive, they are beautifully crafted and woodwork like that is very labor intensive.  Not for everyone of course, but thought they looked great.

Those really are lovely.  But, I can buy a LOT of comics (or a few pieces of nice art) for that price.

Well, $3,000 is pretty high, but those are really well-made units.  This really inspires me.  I'm not a bad wood worker, and this is something I may be able to pull off with a little trial and error.  I only have a few long-boxes of comics at this point, and I don't want to get rid of the comics inside them.  This would look a heck of a lot better than those old white boxes.

William,
It does kind of inspire the middle school wood shop boy in me to try and make something similar. I don't have the tools, but it does inspire.  The dove tails would be the hardest for me.  That kind of wood work is a craft.
I wouldn't want such nice furniture for all my comics, but it would be nice to have something like that for your favorites that you could have in the Brad Cave, in my case or your favorite man room.  I like the bottom one, because it's a cheaper alternative for me and you can add on later.

I like the really classy look of the second picture Brad posted and if I had the space the money i would be all over this.

But in the interest of cost savings has anyone been to the Comic Cubes website? A cheaper alternative and they still look pretty nice.
