That's your national protector there, Al!

Um, yeah. Also part of its disturbing qualities for me, I'm afraid! We should
ask the guys in the Gay Wedding thread what they think...

(Second shout-out today, Tom. You can thank me later.)

I have a original page from JB and Dikto's Rom, and it's fantastic!
JB, you did a great job rendering the metal on the armor, and gave the art some much needed weight.
As much as I love PCRussell's art, his Dikto inking was too delicate for my tastes at the time, and the book lost some drama due to the art not being fleshed out enough (hmm, not enough blacks, maybe? I dunno). After seeing what Dikto was providing for pencils (or lack of pencils), I can't say that I'd blame anyone for not fleshing out the pages enough...

"I'd love to have one of those Ditko Rom pages, especially the #74. That's the only way to get one, something an inker has sold."

Geez Dave, if I had known that I'd have given mine to you on Sunday.
Oh well, maybe next time... :)

I got lucky and got my page years ago on eBay. It's one of my favorites and means a lot to me, not only due to the artists involved, but because the book was one of my favorites and I would read the early issues with my dad. I would have to say that at the time I wasn't too pleased with Dikto being on the book...

Inking Ditko, must be a daunting task.  Looked great.

Edited to add- Anyone know why Sal Buscema left?  I really liked him on ROM.

That was a great Ditko/Byrne splash page that Ryan linked from Jim
Warden's CAF gallery...

Al, I'd say you're becoming high maintenance.

Mainly because it's hard to find a picture that doesn't have nipples threatening to poke out someones eye!
