Just returned from lunch (and my LCS) -- today is shipping day and they unpack books.
So, I'm holding FX #1 -- and it is truly a nice package. Colors are bright - the book doesn't have a gloomy feel that many others have ---- and I LOVE the coloring on the last page. LOVE IT !! I want more of that character in a big way.
I'm torn over whether I wanted more story to this issue (double sized) - or whether I'm thrilled to have to wait 30 days.
I can't wait to get home and give it to my son to read.
WAYNE -- are you going to be at SDCC so my son can get an autograph on his copy?

Oh -- my LCS owner was very happy with the look of the book - he's ordering a couple more copies for the shelf.

I don't know when the LCS will bring my copy, but tomorrow I will go to the shop, but surely till the next week I don't get my FX1 grrrrr

I am looking forward to getting issue #1 too! But I just noticed at the Diamond site that FX is only 6 issues ! Is that correct? I thought it was going to be an ongoing ! Bummer !

Steven - Glad you liked it. And, yes, I plan on going to SD and will be at
the IDW booth sometime or another, nothing's been worked out yet,
signing books. And if I should happen to miss you for some reason send
his copy to me and I'll sign it for him.

Sorry, Dan. I'm did the best I could with the six issues that are coming
out. I won't speak to the quality of it, that's for the reader to decide, but
know this - there's a whole lotta stuff packed into those six issues. That
was one of my worries - that I was trying to put too much in there.
But I'm got more stories to tell. Hopefully, I'll get to tell 'em.
And to the rest of you - I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed
making it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts about it.

Wayne... six issues, coincidentally, is a good size for a trade paperback. Does your wheeling and dealing with IDW include provisions for one, if the book does well?
