Batman: Adams length ears, no oval, capsule utility belt.

Superman: Big S Shield on his chest. Thick hair & spit curl.

Wonder Woman: Eagle on top. No wonder thong. Many stars on shorts.

Green Lantern: Silver Age look. The current version with the Green ending at the waist throws of the balance of the design. Round ring with the emblem over the thicker emblem shaped ring.

Aquaman: Orange top, green pants with fins on the calves. Wavy blond hair ala Aparo

X-Men: Cyclops, Iceman and Marvel Girl in the post grad uniforms. Angel in the Adams design. Blue furry Beast. All-New All Different designs for Storm, Nightcrawler and Colossus. Byrne brown & tan for Wolverine.

Captain America: Chain mail. No utility belt

Falcon: The original Red and White costume and the wings.

Spider-Man: Black and Red. Silken webs not the clumps. Eyes shouldn't cover over half his skull.

Robin: The first Tim Drake costume. The current one has too much red. looks like long-johns,

Black Canary: The classic look: Bustier, fishnets and buccaneer boots.

In the pic above, that depiction of Superman's "S" is perfect. Perfect shape, size, just perfect.

THIS is Wonder Woman:

My favorite design, with the perfect number of stars and the perfect belt and tiara, by the perfect Wonder Woman artist.  Don't get me wrong, I loved Perez' and Byrne's Wonder Woman, but THIS is it!

I like Roy Harper's current Red Arrow outfit.

The Vision's original design when he first appeared in Avengers.,

70's Supergirl with the hotpants and the plunging neckline. Not much love for headband Supergirl (the outfit she died in) or the current bare-belly anorexic hoochie version. Still a beloved character, though.

I preferred the Red Tornado's red and purple outfit.

Original outfit for Aquaman, with green gloves, short hair, clean shaven, two hands, and a wife named Mera.

Pre-armor purple & green battle suit Lex Luthor.

Pink outfit Brainiac with the electrodes in his noggin.

Namor in the black outfit with the wings.

No-nose standard red and gold Iron Man armor from the 70's.

Original Shazam family outfits and colors.

Jose nails Black Canary here too and reminds us what Dr. fate should look like.

A couple off the top of my head before I leave:

Big \S/ Superman. Alex Ross Superman face, Garcia Lopez/JB poses.

Kirby Hulk flat top head. JB and Steve Rude got it right.

Brown n Yellow Wolverine costume

Current TV Legion designs are not bad.

Luthor green and purple power suit- c'mon, that should've been in the movie!!! What a waste.

Tie: Iron Man Kirby pointy forehead faceplate / long shorts/ small combat boot looking 60's yellow n red armor, ties with Ari Granov/ movie version. But the movie Mark I is too cool, it's a real Kirby machine.

Simonson Thor

Byrne slightly baggy suit FF. Except for Sue, tighter outfit the better of course :)

Red Phoenix design

Perez Gypsy Wanda

Current Black n Yellow Avengers Wasp costume, although I totally agree that it's Jan's right as a lady to change costumes as many times as fashion permits. She even beats Iron Man in the number of changes of costume design.

Adams Batman

JB New Gods. Why don't I just suggest JB nails each character design of any book he's in. :-)

Aparo Aquaman- I agree with the wavy hair

Perez Starfire

Ditko Spidey

60's Kirby Cap/ Ultimate Cap

Kubert Sgt. Rock

>>>>

Merry Christmas everyone!

Batman: Black & grey, no oval around the bat emblem

Wonder Woman: Stylized double-W/eagle hybrid emblem, a few larger stars on the shorts, high heels

Scarlet Witch: classic 80s costume

Aparo Aquaman, BIG yes!
Byrne Superman
Romita Sr. Spider-man
Byrne Fantastic Four (blue & black uniform or B&W-Doesn't matter which)
Alan Davis Batman
Buscema Thor
Byrne X-Men -(The only X-Men that count!)
Sal Buscema Hulk
Byrne Captain America
Perez Titans

To me these all count as definitive versions.
These creators can do NO wrong with these characters!
