I likewise never heard of this one!  Quick question:  they were going to arrest She Hulk, so why was she stripping?

* * *

I must say that this issue has a very special place in my heart. It must be my favorite She-Hulk story ever, and the explanation of my love for the character.

The art is great, I just love the story.
There’s everything in this comic. First, it’s long, then there’s action, fun, nice places, a very sexy scene, drama at the end …

And the crushing of the heli-carrier !! What a great piece of comic. * * *

What you said, David. The She-Hulk graphic novel was one of my first books in my graphic novel collection. I loved this book. I'd never seen the character as being attractive until John Byrne worked with her.

There's a lot of panels in that story that really threw my young mind into some steamy moments! JB, is there a reason this book was so...sexual/adult-themed? Was it the format of a graphic novel that allowed it to be geared towards an older crowd?

Al, I agree, DeMulder's inks work very well for me too.

Every artist covering She-Hulk should look to this cover to see how to do Jen with muscles bulging.  She's not the Hulk; she should be feminine, not a woman in a man's body.  And boy, I love how JB makes those feminine parts react to pressure and gravity!

Thanks for posting, David, this is probably my favorite She-Hulk story as well.

My favorite page is not posted. It happens later in the book...I think in the 30s...it was the FIRST time JB killed me off in print!

I was quite impressed when Jack Morelli, seeing
the piece in the office, was able to name both women! (I can't, any longer.)

I bought this book back in 1987 (20 years!). I was giddy with anticipation about it all week, as I'd saved up for it from my 13-year-old's allowance. JB's She-Hulk is very sexy and this book itself is very sexy... without being dirty or inappropriate. It's sort of like an episode of THE AVENGERS with the delightful Emma Peel and a few double entendres here and there but not something you'd be ashamed to watch with your mother and down the line your kids.

Maintaining that kind of balance is true talent, I think.
