- JB's OMAC
- Len Wein and Dave Gibbon's much too short run on Green Lantern.
- Captain America Visionaries: Mike Zeck. Reprinting the first eight issues of his run. Then hope for more without using my other two picks. :)
- It wouldn't be the biggest collection, but The Count Nefaria story drawn by JB in The Avengers. Maybe add a few other JB issues around that era to thicken the book up.
- From Amazing Spider-Man, the Bart Hamilton/Green Goblin storyline.

From Amazing Spider-Man, the Bart Hamilton/Green Goblin storyline.

That is a very underrated storyline, Paul. Lots of great suspense here with Aunt May needing emergency surgery and Peter must sign the consent form. However, he gets abducted by the Green Goblin on his way to the hospital. I also like the way we're led to believe Harry Osborn has resumed his career as the Green Goblin until the end of the storyline.
In a lot of ways, Len Wein's run on Amazing Spider-Man gets overlooked because he came between two heralded runs (Gerry Conway before him and Marv Wolfman after him). But Wein did some good work with the Web-Slinger, this storyline being his best.

Bruce, they are currently reprinting this story in the Spider-Man Family quarterly, so I put up a spoiler warning. But I agree, this was the story that made me a Spider-Man fan and I had never read the book before then.

I didn't know about the reprint, so thanks for the spoiler warning.
I had just started reading the book less than a year earlier, so I was still very new to the world of Spider-Man. This was the first really big storyline I can remember reading and I loved it.
This storyline is including in the latest edition of Essential Spider-Man (vol. 8). I sure hope they continue to publish these Essential collections, because the next Spider-Man edition should include a lot of the great Marv Wolfman stories, including the introduction of the Black Cat and the classic Amazing Spider-Man #200, which is one of my favorite issues ever.

I'm behind on my Essential Amazing. I'm only at volume 5. But I'm glad to know this story is getting new exposure on two fronts.

Those Man-Wolf stories George Perez drew.
A trade collecting Barry Windsor Smith's guest artist issues for Marvel which he did around the late 80's (Uncanny X-Men, Daredevil, Iron Man)

Excellent topic. I've thought about starting one like it some time ago.
What I'd like to see:
The Beast's solo adventures from Amazing Adventures 11-17 and Hulk 161 which finishes the story.
The Serpent Crown Affair: Marvel Two-in-One 61-63 and Marvel Team Up Annual 5 (although it's a separate story, it is the next appearance of the Serpent Crown)
The Guardians of the Galaxy stories from Marvel Presents.
Someone also mentioned the Defenders story with GOTG. That would be good, too.

I just recently found those Perez Man-Wolf stories in a fifty cent box at an area comic shop. I had never read them before. Fun stuff.
