Hey - thanks. It means a lot that a hack like me has a couple fans out there. But remember, It's the talent of guys like Dave Gibbons, John Byrne, Neal Adams, John Buscema, etal -- that I am thankful for. I've mentioned before, this has always been a hobby for me - only recently have I inked my pencils - so I've started focusing on my inking, trying new things, reading up about the skill. I see talent like JB and his lines are so clean and true (ink) -- and I am in awe.
Over in my CAF are some inkings I've done recently, as practice. I like to think I'm getting better.

You're welcome, Pat.
I'm just happy to see that some comics fans out there have a good hand to eye co-ordination, unlike myself. Have images in the head but anything I ever put down on paper rarely has much in common with what's on the inside. Gave up on that long ago and chose to stick with writing.
I can understand why you would be thankful for the talented people you mention, but you definitely shouldn't sell yourself short either. Your move from only pencils to inking works very well I think. Have you tried your hand on any comics pages to work on the storytelling muscle? I'd love to see something.
And that's some nice stuff in your CAF, keep at it Pat.
Lloyd - nice Trimpe, Lloyd. I agree that the original mask does have a certain flare. You have seen the commission piece JB did of this version of Wolverine, right?

Hey, Joakim -- honestly, I've never tried drawing panel to panel work. I've scribbled a few "originals" in the past (like the Batman at my CAF), but I am totally 100% untrained and uneducated in drawing anatomy, so everything I draw is from memory of the thousands of comics I've read over the past 30 years. I can draw a muscle man but I have a hard time drawing a woman, for instance - and that's even true when I copy a picture, my lines seem to heavy for women. Maybe it's just me being critical. It's been a while since I tried drawing an original (I've been practicing my inking for a few months), so maybe I'll see if something that 100% Ditton will "fall of my pencil" (as JB would say) soon. I'll post it in the sketch thread and at my CAF if I do.

Well keep at it. As JB's said many a time, the only way to get there is to practice. And don't shy away from those tuff spot. If you can do the muscle man and not the one, you just know that it's the woman you should be trying to do. To get there. :)
If you ever get around to trying some panel to panel work, I hope you'll give a sample of that on your CAF as well. It'd be interesting to see.
