I've been meaning to post this for months. It's my HERO Alliance art card for this year's subscription. Flash Gordon & Dale Arden by Ralph Reese.

I like Gerry's take on my drawing above. When I laid out the page, I didn't take the coloring into account, so too many blue and red and yellows fell on the center and right part of the page. Gerry managed to overcome it quite well, though, and using mainly flat tones. And I love MM's effect! Bravo, Gerry!

Here is my take on the coloring, where I cheated a little with Kid Marvel's cape color (I thought I had it sent to Bill, but I must have forgot for some reason. Hmmm).

This cool Spider-man piece is on it's way to me via Royd. It's a watercolor piece by Ardian Syaf.

I broke out the scanner last weekend and got my Comic Art Fans gallery updated, so I thought I'd come out of "Lurk Mode" to share a couple of pieces of original art that I picked up at SDCC 2010:

Fantastic Four #243 Cover Recreation by Chris Giarrusso

Ms. Marvel Sketch by Adam Hughes

Invincible Returns Double-Page Spread by Ryan Ottley

Larger images as well as a few more recent additions to my collection over at CAF: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=4247

Very interesting Spider-Man!  Interesting becasue this is the first (that I can recall) of an image showing the bottom of his feet lined, which is cool.  And as for the Chris Giarrusso F.F. cover, I LOVE it!

Love the Demon.

Funny FF homage.

Reese is new to me.

I like that lighting on Spider-Man.
