Does anyone have a checklist of art JB has done exclusively for Italian publishers? I believe there has been a handful of covers...

I thought I heard this cover was done for an Italian publisher...? Am I wrong?

If you have any info on JB Italian exclusives, let me know! Thanks!

Love the Thing on that Fantastici Quattro cover! That shadowing is great!

For some reason I have it in my head that the top image was for a German or
Scandinavian publisher.

I was told by Wayne it was for an Italian girls magazine when I first say it a few years ago.

Do European's find, in this particular case Fantastic Four but I'm sure there are plent of other examples, that the translation lessens the character names or meanings?  The whole point of FF is the alliteration.  Doctor Doom, etc.  Does alliteration even work in other languages?

Of course they do, translators try to transfer alliterations as much as possible. There was no way to keep Doctor Doom ( Docteur Fatalis) and Fantastic Four (Quatre Fantastiques). I can't give you example that work because I just wake up but I'm sure someelse will.

Here's the most famous alliteration in the French language :
Qui sont ces serpents qui sifflent sur nos tetes ? with all the s sounds conveying the idea of snakes ...
